What "if" we stopped inventing "ifs"?

What if someone stopped finding me beautiful because of my bag? What if I couldn’t get back to a normal life? What if I gave up? And if I stopped finding ifs, would my life amaze me?

Time goes by at a blazing speed. We tend to focus on the past and worry about the future instead of simply appreciating our present. How many times have you asked yourself: what if…? But basically, what could happen? Everyday, we should tell ourselves it’s a new day and think about what we’re going to learn from this pleasing day.

I have often wondered about how my life could have been without this damn disease. However, I realised that the more I asked myself this question, the more I felt deeply lost. I sometimes thought about my future, about my life when I would be older... How would my quality of life be? And my happiness level? I was always getting lost in those unanswered questions. I was scared and anxious to think that I would never have a simple life, but essentially, who wants an ordinary life? My path has been different, but it's my life.

At the beginning of the year, I promised myself to live in the present moment. I would be lying if I said that it’s a simple thing to do. However, preventing myself from thinking about "ifs" makes me happy enough.

Every single day, life offers us the opportunity to LIVE. The fact that we aren’t as healthy as most people generally helps us to enjoy each day a little more. Every morning that I wake up alive makes me smile and helps me understand that we all have a specific reason to be here on this earth. I like to believe that I have a positive purpose, and that's what keeps me living one day at a time, happy and positive even when nothing goes my way.

And what "if" you began removing "ifs" from your vocabulary and enjoying your present? I challenge you to try!
