I SAID IT ON TV
On July 7th, ANA made it's first appearance on television on ADR.tv. It was a somewhat stressful but extremely rewarding experience.
ANA is growing every day, as it is becoming known by more and more people. But ANA’s popularity is not what matters. What matters is the feeling of comfort that ANA & Moi brings to some of its readers.
So far, people shared touching and inspiring stories on the blog. Informative articles written by specialists to inform the general public about inflammatory bowel diseases and ostomy were also shared on ANA & Moi. I want to personally thank everyone who took part, directly or indirectly, to the creation and continuation of the blog. Having written articles myself, I understand that sharing certain elements of our life and opening up is not easy.
Why did I decide to go ahead and introduce myself as an ostomate person on television? I am a really reserved and introverted, and usually hide in the shadow of others. I did not do it so that everyone can know my story in details, but to actively promote ANA’s cause.
The blog’s team mainly focuses on raising awareness on inflammatory bowel diseases, well-being when living with an ostomy, the importance of self-acceptance and the beauty of women. In doing so, ANA aims to offer support and comfort during any stage of the disease, promote self-esteem and self-confidence, and counter pre-conceived ideas.
This is why I chose to dive into the ANA adventure. I sincerely wish ANA can help many people and inspire many others. I would also like to thank the members of the daily show “À l’Affiche” on ADR.tv for taking part in ANA’s growth, and allowing me to be a part of this great experience.
Moreover, ANA is, to me, an adventure that requires me to, sometimes, often even, go beyond my limits, but that also makes me grow so much every day.
Here’s hoping ANA is as beneficial to you as it is to me!
